I probably can't go ahead and scream this at family dinners, but the fact is that I'm a Porn Guy... and I'm voting tomorrow... and I'm voting for John McCain. And so should you.... And here's my top 5 reasons why:
- On day one, John McCain is qualified to be President of the United States. Like his politics or not, the fact of the matter is that John McCain has an extensive resume of service to this country. Obama's national resume, before deciding to run was:
- United States Senator for the State of Illinois for ONE YEAR, during which he did nothing.
- Gave a speech at DNC Convention in 2004
- Oprah likes him
John McCain's resume is clearly superior. He's been in the military, served his country both in his active duty and during his time as a POW. He's been a member of Congress for over 25 years, and has lead the way in the Senate on numerous bipartisian initiatives. His resume and qualifications are not in doubt.
- John McCain's Conservative Principals will Grow this Economy. I believe that an Obama economy will decimate this country. John McCain's tax plan is to extend the expiring tax cuts of 2010 (aka the "Bush Tax Cuts"), which will result in taxes NOT GOING UP FOR ALL TAXPAYERS. The Obama plan will see these tax cuts go away - raising taxes for 100% of all tax payers. I know that Obama wants to claim that his economy will be Bill Clinton Part II. If that is true, then we have to look forward to higher taxes which will result in inflation and job losses, we'll see a huge decrease in the military budget, we'll see nationalized health care which drives up costs for all of us (but at least illegal immigrants like Obama's Aunt Zeituni will get coverage), and unless there is a new technology which leads to a massive inflow of cash into our economy (like the Internet in 1992), there will be no reason for the economy to grow. Under McCain's economic plan, corporations and those with money will invest in this country without fears of high tax rates and onerous capital gain taxes. Under Obama, taxes will go up and people will invest less. There's no reason to invest money if the government will take up to half of it. They'll sit out his first term, and this country will suffer.
- John McCain is More Qualified to be Commander in Chief of our Military. How can you ever believe that a man who claims we are "air-raiding villages and killing civilians" is someone who can proudly lead our military? The Obama Military we'll come to see if he's elected will be 100% different then what we see now. Less troops, less units, less money, lower morale, and less willingness to engage in true military action. This will not be the case under John McCain. He'll support our military 100%. If you want to know which candidate U.S. Military personnel prefer, then look no further than 2004. Active duty personnel supported George Bush 72 to 17% in 2004. If our own soldiers prefer Republicans overall, shouldn't you support John McCain to be Commander in Chief.
- John McCain will keep American Safer. We have been lulled to sleep regarding terrorism in the United States. We have been safe since September 11th. I am not going to sit here and say with certainty that an Obama presidency will necessarily lead to an attack. In fact, I will state that there is a small chance that foreign nations and extreme Islamic Muslims might "back off" a little bit because they'll view Barack Obama to be at the very least sympathetic to Muslim causes, and at worse to be Muslim himself. However, it was definitely during the Clinton administration that Al Quaeda planned 9-11, based on part because of the fact that under Clinton "You [The U.S.] have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew; the extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear" (Osama Bin Laden). It is very probable that America will be viewed as weak and impotent under a pacifist like Obama. There is no one in this country who will honestly be able to look at you in the eyes and say that they could intimidate John McCain.
- The Liberal U.S. Congress Needs a Babysitter, not a Cheerleader. The popularity of the U.S. Congress is even lower than that of George W. Bush. If, as expected, Democrats gain 20-30 seats in the House of Representatives, and 6-9 in the Senate, we are looking at up to 262 of the 435 (60%) House and up to 58 of the 100 (58%) of the Senate being Democrat. If the number of Democrats in the Senate reaches 60, then there won't even be the chance for the GOP to be able to filibuster in order to protect the country from one-sided legislation. The simple fact is that as President, Obama will do nothing to keep liberal taxing and spending in check - and will encourage the liberal agenda. John McCain will stand against these liberal and socialist ideas.
In the end, this country is torn at it's soul. It's sick of war, sick of political animosity, sick of the economy, and sick of government. They yearn and hope for something different. Barack Obama has tapped into this so well with his simple message of "Change". People in this country are willing to take a chance on this man regardless of his thin resume, and having no knowledge about who he is and what he stands for. They simply hear a simple mantra of "Change" and endorse him like mind-numb robots. But you must look at what this "Change" will mean for you. If you only care about getting out of Iraq and putting your hand out to get a little welfare by taxing "the rich", then Obama's your man.
If you're truly concerned about this country's economy, battling the liberal Congress' agenda, controlling spending, lowering taxes, being a true military superpower and keeping this country safe, then you need to look past the buzzwords. You need to look past the main street media's and liberal marketing machine and look at these two men and their policies. Getting food poising is "Change". That's not what we need. We need just one thing - a man named John McCain.
Do the right thing November 4, 2008 and vote John McCain.
